What is variable resistance and
how can it provide you with better results?
Sounds very technical, doesn't it? Variable Resistance.
Well, it is actually very simple, yet extremely powerful. In
fact, we believe it will change the way you think about working
out and more importantly the results you get forever.
Variable resistance means that the FB Gym™ will adjust
the amount of resistance that you receive according to your own
bodies needs.
I know that it sounds incredible but the
FB Gym™ will automatically adjust to give you the perfect
workout each and every time!
Variable resistance works
with your muscles, instead of against them. The variable resistance
system works with your muscles using their own natural strength
curve.
Let us explain.
All of our muscles have a
natural strength curve. During any exercise we perform, there
are points in the exercise that our muscles are stronger and there
are other points during the exercise where our muscles are weaker.
No matter how strong we get, this will always be the case. This
is referred to as our muscles natural strength curve.
The graph above shows how the FB Gym™ adjusts
to your body's natural muscle strength curve. During any point
during an exercise where you can no longer continue, the FB gym
will automatically lower the resistance to allow you to complete
the exercise.
The Bottom line - This is how variable resistance
will change your body quickly and safely!
It is a well known fact that when you exercise the more effort
you exert the better your results. Your body responds to strains
placed upon it. It's a fact but it presents a major problem.
When using a tradition, linear system of resistance, like the
bow, solo or cross the resistance stays constant throughout the
exercise. 50 lbs of resistance remains 50lbs of resistance.
These gyms completely ignore your muscles
natural strength curve.
The problem with this is that your muscles do not
have the same strength level throughout an entire stroke of an
exercise. At certain points during an individual exercise your
muscles have less strength than at other points in the exercise.
This is why sticking points occur. Places when during an exercise
you just can't continue. If and when you reach a sticking point,
you can not complete the exercise.
This prematurely ends your workout, causing
insufficient results and possibly injury.
.
The graph above illustrates linear resistance found
on gyms like Soloflex® and Bow. Resistance
remains constant even though your muscle strength varies throughout
the exercise.
The FB Gym™ resolves this problem.
What if you could finally work smarter
instead of harder and get better results?
With the FB Gym™,
if you reach a sticking point, a point where you can't push any
further, the unique cylinders will automatically reduce
the resistance and allow you to slowly complete the exercise safely
and effectively.
From 25 to 400 lbs of resistance.
As you gather muscle strength through each stroke,
the resistance increases to match the force you exert... then
as you approach the end of the stroke and exert less force, resistance
eases off.
By
adjusting to the natural strength curve of your own muscles you
will be able to complete more exercises, progressing quicker than
you ever thought possible while avoiding injury.
This one feature
alone will allow you to obtain more results in less time.
A gym that is smart enough to adjust to the way your muscles
need and want to work.
In general, at 21 repetitions
per minute, the resistance is adjustable from level 1 at 25 lbs
to level 12 at 400 lbs.
To reach
the maximum available resistance an additional resistance kit
may be purchased. |
